With COVID-19 school closures in place, parents around the world are looking for ways to entertain the kids. While we are all in favour of free play time, reading and fresh air in the garden, sometimes a regular activity in your day can help keep things as ‘normal’ as possible.

Joe Wicks, aka The Body Coach, launched a daily 30-minute PE class for kids during the COVID-19 school closures. The live streams take place daily each weekday at 9am, but can be accessed at any time on The Body Coach TV YouTube channel.

Myleene’s Music Klass

When: Mondays and Fridays at 10am (GMT) and Wednesdays at 6.30pm (GMT)

Join television star, singer and classically-trained pianist Myleene Klass and her daughters Ava and Hero for an online music class. No instruments are needed, just tune in on Myleene’s YouTube channel.

“For the foreseeable future, let me teach your children music. We’ll look at rhythms, how to read music, make instruments and just have fun.”

Myleene will also be doing a weekly lullaby session for little ones on Wednesday evenings.

#DrawWithRob with Rob Biddulph

When: Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10am (GMT)

Rob Biddulph is an internationally bestselling and multi award-winning children’s author and illustrator. He is also the official World Book Day Illustrator for 2019, 2020 and 2021.

Rob launched a draw-along for children during school closures, saying “I decided to post a draw-along video every Tuesday and Thursday at 10am GMT that parents could watch with their kids and, hopefully, make some nice pictures.”

Tag your child’s pictures (and your own!) with #DrawWithRob to share. As well as being posted to Twitter, YouTubeand Instagram, the videos will also be posted on Rob’s website.

Meet some of David Walliams’ most eccentric and hilarious characters with a daily story from The World’s Worst Children series.
