"We have good relationships with our clients, but it doesn't always lead to growth.""My people need to do a little less "account maintenance" and a little more "account development". "Sound familiar? Many of our relationships start with a conversation that sounds something like that, and luckily we can help! But let's unpack that a little. 🌟 You can't service your way to growth. Before you start throwing things, hear me out... many organizations we see pride themselves on their customer service. Great service is... well, great. But it doesn't necessarily lead to more business (in fact it's proven to have no statistical significance at all).🌟 How you start the relationship matters, and may or may not be setting you up to easily grow.🌟 Who you have the relationship with matters. Are your main contacts the decision makers on the type of growth you want?🌟 Not all "good relationships" are created equal. Rapport with your day to day contact may or may not be what you need to grow. How are you positioning yourself and your company?🌟 How are you leveraging existing forums for growth? A good strategic business review can go a long way!Bottom line, managing and growing your current accounts isn't a "build it and they will come" type of a situation. You need to be strategic and proactive about it!I'm talking about all this and more in Savannah at 's ELEVATE conference (but I also love to talk to people about it all the time) 😉 Who is joining me and what else should we explore?

I'm a big supporter and believer in building relationships -- whether that's in business or in your personal life. On the business end, building relationships is essential. It helps build and foster trust and loyalty. It can help with word-of-mouth referrals from current customers and ultimately expand your customer base. 🙂Read our latest blog post on building relationships for business growth and success: https://bit.ly/3IKnFAV
